Strip/Ring/Disc heating elements are rugged and easy to install for heat transfer by conduction or convection to heat liquids, air, gases and surfaces with sheath temperatures up to 1500°F and watt densities to 35 W/in2. Common applications include drying, melting, baking and curing. Strip heater sizes range from 0.5″ wide to 2.5″ and lengths to 72″ long. Heaters bolt or clamp to many surfaces. Nested ring heaters can provide concentrated heat in small areas. Select from many sheath materials, termination styles, operating temperatures, sizes, voltages, wattage ratings and
mounting devices.
Strip/Ring/Disc Heaters
Description
Strip
Strip Heaters are constructed using our own proprietary refractory cement and are highly compacted for excellent heat transfer. These are primarily used for convection type air heating and clamp on conductive heating. The strip heaters are available in a wide variety of widths and lengths. There are many different options for sheath material, terminations, mounting and electrical ratings. Depending upon sheath materials the compacted strip can obtain temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C). These heaters are highly suited for many industrial and commercial applications.
Ring
Ring Heaters are manufactured using the same construction as our high density strip heater. Chromalox Ring Heaters are available in diameters ranging from 2 1/2″ to 11″ with inside diameters from 1/2″ to 8 1/2″. Ring Heaters have temperature ratings up to 1200°F (650°C). Ring Heaters have a wide variety of surface heating applications.
Disc
Disc Heaters are manufactured using the same construction as our high density strip heater. Chromalox Disc Heaters are available in diameters of 2 3/4″ and 3 1/4″. Disc Heaters have temperature ratings up to 1200°F (650°C). Ring Heaters have a wide variety of surface heating applications.
